Greenlit Carbon Calculator

Greenlit has developed a carbon calculator that is unique to Aotearoa, using our local emission factors to ensure we are making accurate measurements of our carbon emissions.

This calculator is available for your use now and is accessible through the Greenlit Carbon Calculator Portal.

What is Greenlit?

We embed within Greenlit the values and principles held by tangata whenua (indigenous people of the land) and acknowledge our responsibilities to the people and the land as filmmakers in Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Guided by the cultural principles of the land, we strive to be a global leader in supporting sustainable production.

Our initial goal is to bring the screen sector in line with national objectives and obligations in carbon emissions and waste reduction.

Who is Greenlit?

A non-profit organisation set up as an Incorporated Society under the laws of New Zealand.

Greenlit is overseen by a board of representatives from filmmakers within the Aotearoa screen sector; including producers, commissioners and sustainability officers.
